This was my Digital camera.
It stopped recognizing the batteries so I had to replace it.
I bought it (online) in November 2002 for $269.
It is made by Sony
Praises:
- It's wicked small yo! I can totally wear it around my neck.
- It comes with this cool software that automatically transfers the files to the computer.
- It saves the pictures really quickly.
- There is a back light for the lcd display. Yeah! Way cool!
- This camera does most of the same things my Mavica did.
- I posted some of the awesome picture examples on http://www.pbase.com/hmatt/sony_dscu20
Gripes:
- Batteries; They die within an hour or less and they take 13 hours to recharge (unless you buy the 'special rapid charger' and who wouldn't!! I'll need the extra batteries it comes with anyway.)
- It doesn't take a picture when you press down the shutter button. Instead it focuses (and does this weird 'get lighter- get darker' thing before it is ready) then it takes the picture.
- I bought a 128mb memory stick thinking it was a great idea. Unfortunately, it makes the camera start up time longer. With the included 8mb stick it took about a second before it was ready. Now it takes 4 seconds.
- There is no way to reset the file numbers (I guess it goes from Dsc00000.jpg all the way to Dsc99999.jpg, that sucks.. fortunately I have renamer)
Here is the manual.

This is what the memory stick looks like.
