Pencil- Staedtler 780
This is my favorite type of non-wood pencil
I buy used to buy these at OfficeMax and they usually were around $3.75 each. They stopped selling them though, but Staples still does.
It is made by Staedtler who also makes pens and stuff
These are drafting pencils but I prefer them to mechanical pencils for my writing needs. Mechanical pencils require a constant click to advance the too thin lead. These however have rather thick lead (about regular pencil thickness) and grab the lead (like a pickle grabber). In fact another company is called 'Lead Holders' or 'Lead Grabbers' I forget which is what. Anyway this brand is far superior because the sharpener is built in at the top of the pencil. I remember Jason used to have one back in High School and now I use them all the time!
Problems: After sharpening the lead your fingers get graphite all over them and then you have graphit powder to tap out somewhere. Then there's always the chance that you need to erase something, then you'll have to carry an eraser around with you too.
