Names

I think it's pretty weird that we call things by name brands instead of names so I'm compiling a list of as many as I can think of.

Scotch Tape- Adhesive Tape
Kleenex- Facial Tissue
Band-aid- Adhesive Bandages
Jello- Gelatin
Q-tips- Cotton Swab
Ziploc- Locking plastic bags
Hacky-Sack~ Foot Bag
Top Ramen - Mauchen Noodles

Items so in our lexicon that they have no alternatives:
zippers, baby oil, brassieres, trampolines, thermos, cellophane, escalator, elevator, and dry ice (poor Google)

email me any other brand names that are constantly interchanged with the real name.
